Subject: Acceptance of offer - [Job title]

Hi [Name], Thank you very much. I'm delighted to accept the offer of [job title] at [Company] at a salary of $[amount] [per year/hour], starting on [date], as set out in your email of [date]. Please could you send the signed employment agreement and let me know about anything I need to do before day one (ID and right-to-work documents, IRD number and KiwiSaver details, bank account, health and safety induction, uniform or tools). I look forward to getting started. Kind regards, [Your name] [Phone]

Tips

  • Read the full written employment agreement before you sign. If something differs from what was offered, ask now.
  • Tell Work and Income straight away (MyMSD or 0800 559 009) when you start work so you're paid correctly. You may be able to apply for a Transition to Work grant.
  • Let other employers you've applied to know, and tell your referees.
  • Check the tax code (M, or SL if you have a student loan) on your IR330.
  • Update your LinkedIn after your first day, not before.
